The spring project in Minsk, church "Bethlehem":
Summer project report of Sergey Divokov
June 2, Monday
The project has begun. I am thankful to God that I remained in the city. In the morning I woke up, prayed and went to the office of the "Bethlehem" church. Tanya, the secretary, told me that I would work there. When I came back home I asked the Lord to provide and arrange everything for that project.
June 3, Tuesday
In the morning I am again in the church. I am ready for any kind of work. Oleg Finchenko told me that I would work with a pastor of the Bethlehem church, Yakov Timoveef. He asked me to buy some tools. Next day I had to prepare the fence for painting. The working day was over. Praise God for this day. I ask Him to be my leader in everything I do.
June 4, Wednesday
In the morning I had breakfast, prayed and went to the church. I started cleaning the fence. I worked hard trying to do my best. During a small break I went to the Bible College office. There I was told that since then I would work in my church.
June 5, Thursday
My pastor was glad to hear that I would do ministry in our church. I prayed to the Lord asking Him to show me His will. I spent that day at home praying.
June 6, Friday
Today is a day of physical activity. I am helping a sister from our church to put the floor in her summerhouse (dacha). The house is situated about 70 miles away from Minsk. It is hard work, but her children will help me. There will be three of us. This sister's husband passed away. We need to help each other. I think the Lord gives me some free time to help women in our church. I think that when we help each other we see Christ clearer. We've done quite a lot of work this day and that brought us the feeling joy and satisfaction. Praise God for creating His church and giving us opportunity to help one another and grow in our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
I called that project a "home project". I am thankful to God for this grace. I could spend time at home and work for God at the same time.
I am involved in the church service. We rent a room in the International Educational Center in Minsk every Sunday for two hours. I preach during the service.
Every Monday we also have video seminars in our apartment. It takes some time to prepare for these seminars. We watch family seminars by Bruce Wilkinson or Josh McDowell and then discuss them. On Tuesday we also have Bible Study at one of our sister's.
The Lord has found enough work for me. I prepared for sermons and Bible studies and helped members of our church in different ways.
I don't describe every day since many of them were much alike.
June 13, Friday
On Thursday Sergey and Irina Silivonets called and asked me to help them as a driver. The Friday was devoted to them. I was very glad to help my brother and sister.
I am always thankful to God that He gives us opportunity to serve on another. Tomorrow I will also serve as a driver.
Though the project was at home there was enough of work to do.
In our church we decided to distribute Christian literature. We visited those people who left their addresses after watching the film "Jesus". We also sent them a book "Daily bread". Our church is praying that new people will come to the Lord through us. But without the help of God we cannot do anything.
This is how my summer project went. I worked in my church. All praise is to God Who by His wisdom unites all efforts for one goal. I am asking Him for patience and love to fulfill the task He is giving to me. The Lord will not leave me without His mercy and grace. Praise to him forever and ever. Amen!
