Alexander Serbin
Alexander Serbin, age 28, Belarusian, lives in Minsk. Wife: Julia Serbina, housewife. Children: daughter Emma, 3 years old, son Edward, 1,5 years old. Has no apartment of his own, rents a flat.
Alexander graduated from the Minsk Academy of Physical Education and sports. He has the diploma of coach in wrestling and teacher of sports. He accepted Jesus together with his wife Julia, in June 1998. They attended the church of evangelical Christians-Baptists "Good News"; in Minsk. There on March 6,1999 he and his wife were baptized.
It includes leaders training, assistance our missionaries in conducting the Gospel events, conferences and publishing the youth newspaper "Youth for Christ" At the present time Alexander Serbin is going to be a missionary in a small church "Ascension"; in the city of Minsk. This church is not big; there are about 20 people there. It doesn`t have its own building. It rents a room for Sunday service. At the moment the church doesn`t have a pastor. There is no youth and teenage ministry there. There is not a well-organized Sunday school. They havenТt had baptism service and evangelism for long. The music ministry (worship service) needs development. As a missionary Alexander Serbin is going to improve music ministry and church service in general, organize a work in Sunday school; pay much attention to the development of youth and teenage ministry. He has the goal to conduct different evangelistic meetings and by the end of 2003 bring to Christ 10-15 people and baptize them. At the very moment there is difficult financial situation in the brotherhood of Evangelical Christian Baptists. ThatТs why Alexander Serbin`s family needs financial support. Alexander has started working as a missionary since January 2003. We would ask your church to support him in your prayers and give him a possible financial help.
