 Our graduates, Polyanina Angela:

My ministry in Vetka.

During the first year of my ministry in Vetka the Lord has greatly changed me, I hope for the best. It was difficult to become friends and communicate with people, which were interested only in drinking and immoral life. Anyway the things are moving. Young people started coming to the fellowships. Children started coming to Sunday school. Once a week I lead Bible study, since there are no brothers, who could teach and instruct a few members of our church.

Parents are glad that their children go to Sunday school. They and their relatives would like to learn more of the church and Christian teaching. I've been leading fellowships with young people and teaching them Bible lessons. I think I will keep doing it next year.

People in such a small town as Vetka watch new people very closely, especially believers. They watch my every step, every word. Many people know me. There is a convict colony near Vetka, people from different parts of Belarus can be sent there. Sometimes I go there with the girls whose friends or acquaintance are in this colony. Some of these people have expressed desire to come to the church, but something hinders them. I know that God will arrange everything the way it should be and we'll have a church in Vetka that will glorify God.

Ministry report

I am thankful to God for this month. He has taught me many things, shown me the things I should have seen and realized.

Every person needs a special approach. Not everyone comprehends immediately what you want him to say. Psychology of people in the rural area is very different from psychology of people in the town. It's very difficult to accommodate yourself to these people, but God gives strength not to give up. It's hard to be without support and it's practically impossible to find it since some people are new-believers and others, the so-called Christians, either have not been taught Christian principles or stew in their own juice without noticing and accepting what is going on around them. The most important thing is that God supports us.

Children come to Sunday school and then share with their parents what they've learned at the lessons. Parents have very good attitude to Sunday school. Recently I've started looking after one elderly woman. She used to go to the church, but then she fell ill and now she cannot walk and do anything. I come to her twice a day, feed her and do all other procedures. It takes quite a lot of time.

Last week in the morning I visited this woman and after that had to drop in to pick up children of one girl and get them to Sunday school. Since I was getting late I was having a run along the road. This girl's mom was driving the same road; she stopped and gave me a lift. We quickly pick the children and bring them to Sunday school. This event shows the attitude of the parents and other relatives to Sunday school. On Saturday the mother of two girls that attend Sunday school invited me to the birthday party. They will have their relatives come and she wants them to hear of Jesus Christ. Great! It would be a very good opportunity to witness. May God bless this deed!
